If you’ve done it, you’ll know: there’s something very special about a summer Christmas in Stellenbosch. And this year, we’re very excited to announce that you can choose from three very special Christmas celebrations!

At the Christmas Eve Dinner (R435 per person) you get a tantalising taste of the Yuletide tradition with a surprise contemporary ending. The menu starts with the most delicious first course: sticky pork belly with celery root and turnip puree, crackling and a sprout salad. The main is roast lamb shoulder with butternut fritters, buttered greens, gravy and yummy homemade onion-and-mint chutney with loads of roast potatoes. Dessert is a heavenly chocolate “mud” pudding with vanilla-bean ice cream.

Christmas Day Lunch (R485 per person) features all your festive favourites: Norwegian salmon with dill hollandaise to start is followed by sage-and-butter turkey (or honey-ed rosemary chicken) and apricot and orange glazed gammon plus roast potatoes, creamed spinach, backed caramel pumpkin and sweet potato. Dessert is Christmas pudding (of course!) with ice cream, boozy berries and meringue crumble. Wow!

You can also choose to end your merry Christmas with a divine Christmas Dinner (R435 per person). Imagine a pork and prawn risotto served with homemade prawn crackers… mmm and that’s just for starters. Your entree is roast turkey swathed in streaky bacon with a cranberry compote, butternut fritters, buttered greens and gravy. Round off a fabulous day with black forest gateau, fresh cherries and cream.
